Feeding Instructions: The horse's digestion is designed to process different plants and plant material. Hay and grass are standard in most management systems today. However, other plant parts that wild horses seek out in scrub or woodland are often missing.

Horses have a very broad food supply that includes much more than grass. In addition to various herbaceous plants, they also like to pick berries and other fruits, they pick up nuts and like to nibble on leaves and twigs of various plants. With this diet, they not only take in raw fibre, but also important minerals and secondary plant substances that they need for their physiological balance.

Not every horse owner or stable manager, however, has the possibility to fence forest areas or scrublands into their paddocks and thus provide the horses with the natural, wide range of plants.

With OKAPI Leaves and Bark you can supplement your horse's feed ration with valuable nutrients from nature throughout the year. Sprinkled over the hay or offered in the feed bucket, OKAPI Leaves and Bark is readily accepted as an addition to the species-appropriate diet.

OKAPI Leaves and Bark supplements the basic feed with high-quality bark and leaves, which provide the horse with valuable trace elements, fibres and bioflavones. OKAPI Leaves and Bark should not be fed continuously, but for example every second week.

Feeding Recommendations: Add dry or moistened to the feed or sprinkle over hay. Horses receive 50-100g daily (about two handfuls). Ponies get about half, depending on their size.
